Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Kimia Berbasis Augmented Reality pada Materi Hidrokarbon di SMA Negeri 1 Sonder
Abstract
This study aims to conduct a needs analysis for the development of Augmented Reality (AR)-based chemistry learning media on hydrocarbon material at the Senior High School (SMA) level. The background of this study is the complexity and abstract nature of hydrocarbon material, especially in understanding molecular three-dimensional structures such as isomers and IUPAC nomenclature, which conventional media fails to convey effectively. A descriptive survey method was employed, with a questionnaire distributed to 12 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Sonder. Results showed that 91.7% of students found conventional media insufficient; 100% felt bored with conventional methods; 91.7% required interactive 3D visualization; 91.7% showed interest in AR-based learning; and 83.3% possess adequate smartphones to support AR applications. These findings indicate a strong need for the development of interactive AR-based learning media for hydrocarbon material to enhance student understanding and motivation.
